Yoshihisa Nakano, Representative Director of the Eastern Culture Foundation, Awarded Cultural Council Award
Yoshihisa Nakano, Representative Director of the Eastern Culture Foundation (ECF), has been awarded the Cultural Council Award by the Ministry of Culture of Taiwan.
The Taiwan Culture Association — a private organization established in 1921 during the period of Japanese colonial rule — focuses on promoting cultural awareness in Taiwan.
In commemoration of the spirit of the Taiwan Cultural Association, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary, the Ministry of Culture of Taiwan established the Cultural Council Awards in 2021. The awards honor individuals whose passion and dedication have made significant contributions to the promotion of art and culture over a prolonged period of time.
Our foundation’s Representative Director, Nakano, has been involved in projects that transcend regional and national borders. ECF supports artistic activities in the Eastern cultural sphere, organizes culturally-themed international conferences, and enhances the preservation and storage functions of artworks. The award was presented to us by the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office and the Taiwan Cultural Center of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in recognition of our efforts to promote multifaceted projects centered on art and culture. With this award as a source of inspiration, our foundation will continue to strive to act as a bridge for cultural exchange between Japan and Taiwan.
